Oh..... The joys of little BOYS!
Picture
Today I had the joy of spending my morning with these adorable and FUNNY little guys! It was such a fun time photographing these precious little ones! Talk about non stop laughter - I think my abs were hurting from all the laughing that I was producing because of these two.  As I was trying to figure out what type of processing job I should do with there photos, I figured that film grain would give it a much better feel and character.  This shoot was a pure candid shoot - nothing posed, in which has its challenges of its own because of lighting, but It was deff. a blast! I have to admit that I was a little worried that a few of my fav. shots would not turn out (because of the lighting and sun spots), but a majority of them did, and the film grain processing job turned it into an even more "feel good" type of photograph (in my opinion).  Thank you Boys for such a lovely morning, and all the good laughes and memories!!! I deff. enjoyed myself to the fullest!

Tomorrow I will be busy in the morning again with another family! I will be photographing this little cutie!

It's that time again to start opening up for buisness and getting into the groove.  At first, I thought that this move to Texas was going to be a hair - raising experience. As a woman who has lived on an Island all her life, I didn't know how well I would be able to take to the absence of water.  As soon as I arrived here, I was amazed by the beauty that surrounds this city.  The lush green, the vibrant flowers, and the sweetest people embraced me with the warmest of welcomes.  The travel here was an adventure in itself.  Being that my husband is in the Navy, the military moved us here, and as usual, whisked him away; leaving me, my dog, and my three children in our new home (waiting on our furniture to arrive) with no belongings, camping out with sleeping bags for two weeks.  I am so thankful for my in-laws, as they were here to help us with whatever we needed.  Little by little, we started to get to know our neighbors and felt the blessings of the Lord all around us.  I am starting to find my groove, and so far - I am loving it!  The food, the culture, the friendly people, the air, and the water - everything is so different!  I have still yet to find a love for Mexican food!

With that being said - I have found my camera attached to my hand and hip eating up all the amazing Texas beauty.  Just today, I saw a humming bird for the first time!! I am also still a little fascinated with all the different Texas critters and bugs.

I am so excited about tomorrow! I have some new photography props that I will be using in  sessions for spring photos! I am taking photos of a precious little girl, whom everytime I see, is always in the cutest leg warmers!  Someone recently asked me why I was not going to stay in the wedding, and event area of photography, and all I could tell them was "it's just a feeling. I feel joy and happiness when I am able to take the photos of little ones and be able to give their parents a piece of their child's youth to have forever - no matter how old they get".  This little girl that I will be photographing tomorrow is so full of life, unjudgmental awarness and still carries a sweet softness to her voice...and she still sports leg warmers!!! She pulls them off very well I might add!  Just for my shoot tomorrow, I purchased some of the sweetest spring time legwarmers to photograph her in.  I am hoping to get her down to just her cloth diaper and legwarmers for a few of the shots!

Keep checking the News section of my site for future shoots and specials.  Just a little hint of what's to come...
Sometime soon, for a very brief time frame only, I will be offering a chance of a lifetime!!!
